UCT Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Mosa Moshabela,will join us in person to share an update on developments at the university. 

 

The programme additionally features Prof. Anthony Figaji, Head of Paediatric Neurosurgery at UCT and theRed Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, and recipient of theHarry Oppenheimer Fellowship Award 

 

Prof. Figaji will present the talk,The future for Africa is children: the future for children is Africa, providing insight into his team’s work in decoding the physiology of brain injury in children to improve treatment outcomes, while also highlighting the potential implications of this research for neurological conditions such asAlzheimer's disease,Parkinson's diseaseandMultiple Sclerosis.
