Graham Lee was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Capitec – South Africa’s biggest bank by customers.  His professional journey from BBusSci student at UCT to this important leadership role is a story of excellence, resilience and purpose.  This appointment is an apt recognition of his leadership, experience and the confidence he inspires across the financial sector. We do not doubt that Capitec will continue to thrive under his stewardship. 

Jurie Strydom, a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce at UCT, was recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual.  This remarkable milestone in a distinguished career represents a significant personal achievement and an exciting new chapter for the organisation. His professional journey represents leadership and impact that is grounded, ambitious and committed to meaningful change.

Lyle Sankar was recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of PSG Asset Management.  As a graduate of UCT’s Faculty of Commerce, his success inspires both students and the broader alumni community.  His appointment reflects the high regard in which he is held by his peers and stakeholders and is testament to his capacity to navigate complexity, steward capital wisely and lead with vision.
